Bechthold Home Improvements Hosts Annual BBQ for Children’s Cancer.
On July 11th, Bechthold Home Improvements held their annual Childhood Cancer Fundraising BBQ. This year marked the 15th year they have held this amazing event. The barbecue was a great success. Around 550 people came out to help this worthwhile cause. They helped Bechtold surpass their initial goal for 2019.
In honour of the barbecue’s 15th anniversary, Bechthold Home Improvements aimed to raise $15,000 to different organizations. These organizations are dedicated to helping children affected by cancer. The initial total amount raised from the BBQ was $25,210.21!
Alongside this, Bechthold Home Improvements also donated $5,000 to each of the 3 organizations in celebration of their 15th anniversary. The chosen organizations include Children’s Health Foundation – London Children’s Hospital, Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation, and OneWalk to Conquer Cancer- Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
In total, Bechtold Home Improvements raised $40,210.21. 100% of the proceeds are going towards children whose lives have been affected by cancer. To show our support for this committed cause, Mirage also donated a screen door to one lucky winner.
